Dowdstown Moy aka Guinness was born in Ireland 2018, bred by the renown Hoares. Imported to the US in 2020 for his impeccable conformation, sought after bloodlines that were a solid outcross to the NA herd, topped off with stunning good looks. With the dream that he’d be as athletic as his siblings and parentage suggested he would be. His sire, full uncle, mother and nearly all siblings out of Dowdstown Jane have gone on to win Dublin in hand and under Saddle.

His sire Moylough Legacy and full uncle Moylough Supremacy really need no introductions. They have and are still creating an extreme mark on ID breeding. His dam Dowdstown Jane is a golden goose of a broodmare. Guinness’s bloodlines perfectly marry the athleticism of Ginger Dick, Ben Purple, Skippy and Silver Granite with the exceptional performance oriented conformation of Carrawbarn Cross, Holycross, Grey Macha and Castana. 

Guinness is, as his bloodlines suggested, an extremely athletic horse. Forward thinking, brave & bold. His jump is massive, with fantastic scope and bascule. Nice tidy front end and well opening hind, with incredible stamina. He’s shown solid form up to 1.50M in the jump chute. 

While he is a forward thinking horse and sensitive to his rider, He is not hot nor spooky. He is, as we like to call him on the ranch, a giant golden retriever. He was awarded a highly sought after 90 for temperament at his inspection. With high marks for jump/scope & reflexes. He absolutely Loves children and foals. Is turned out with pregnant mares, colts and geldings with no issues. He is everything a stallion should be in our minds. Children can lead him through a barn of mares without anyone having a worry. No one frets if he gets loose. He’s what dreams are made of.

And the best thing about him? He has stamped every single one of his foals! With currently upwards of 35 offspring, out of nearly every type of mare, on the ground. You can easily recognize his foals with their amazing toplines and necks. Along with being stunningly good looking generally wrapped in a chromed out package.
